IBM Chapter Meeting & USITCC this week!

Hello Members!

This is a big week for our chapter with both our final chapter meeting of the semester, and our nationals competition this Thursday!

Chapter Meeting

This Tuesday, April 3rd we will have our final chapter meeting in LBJ 3-14.1 at 5pm! Anyck Turgeon will be joining us to speak on the future of Information Security with topics such as: augmented lives, contextual security, privacy exchanges, and more. She is a Computer Information Security Officer for IBM, and we are extremely pleased that she will be joining us this month!

USITCC

This year we have 18 AITP members participating in this years USITCC event! Right after the chapter meeting we will have a required meeting for everyone attending USITCC to go over the details for our trip, so make sure you’re available this Tuesday at 6pm in McCoy 336.

Although many details will be discussed in the meeting, it is important to remind you that we will be participating this Thursday through Saturday in San Antonio. As a chapter we will compete in Network Design, Application Development, Database Management, and a wealth of other challenges.

Officer Applications

Applications for officer positions are now open for the 2018-2019 school year! You can e-mail our President Chinonyem for an application, and feel free to ask any officer if you have questions about a roles responsibilities.

Banquet

April 19th we will have our end of year appreciation banquet at Mamacita’s! The event will start at 6pm and will include great food, awards, and a keynote speech from Robert Mills of PayPal! We will be putting out more information related to scholarship awards and payment very soon, so keep an eye out!
