2026 MWC3 Nationals

Nineteen (19) Texas State Information Systems & Analytics majors attended the recent MWC3
(Midwest Collegiate Computing Conference) event in Grand Rapids, Michigan on the campus
of Grand Valley State University March 26-29, 2026 including ITSA faculty Advisors Kevin Jetton and Bradley Hamman.

A total of 200 IT students, faculty, sponsors and more from 13 different university groupings
attended the 3-day conference filled with keynote sessions, hands-on workshops and countless
competition events.

Texas State placed in 3 competition events and earned honorable mentions in many others:

Database Design

• 1st place – Bahadir Kocabas, Andrew Usry
• Honorable Mention – Jared Whitten

Business Analytics

• Honorable Mention – Bahadir Kocabas, Andrew Usry

Business Solutions Using AI Tools

• 2nd place- Anil Oli, Jacob Rosales
• 3rd place- Nishreeta Karki, Kenza Layadi
